With no more than ten plastic tables pushed to the edges of an open air, wooden deck built over Fort Pond Bay, Duryea’s offers the purest waterfront dining experience around. Paper plates, plastic forks and counter service only enhance the experience as you’re left to focus on your lobster roll and the wide open water view all the way to Gardiners Island. In addition to the “Lobster Deck”, Duryea’s doubles as a wholesale seafood and ice business, having gotten its start in the 1920’s when the village of Montauk was located on Fort Pond Bay. The same buildings stand today and house Duryea’s wholesale seafood operation, ice production and retail space.
