Alan Steil captains one of the tightest ships in Montauk. He and his crew work through the night, actually baking all of the shop’s baked goods, to prepare for a 6AM opening. You can count on the best coffee in town, unrivaled fried jelly croissants, and a host of other breakfast and lunch foods prepared fresh every day at the Montauk Bake Shoppe. Don’t be scared by the line as it may look long, but moves fast thanks to an entertaining special board and a certain unexpected efficiency not found at many other places in Montauk.
